Insights from Experts Speaker Series
This speaker series brings entrepreneurs, executives, and other industry professionals to campus, sharing insights and experiences to give students a real-world take on classroom learning. Our speakers come from a wide variety of industries, and past speakers have included global business leader Bharat Bhise, MBA ‘79 and Isiah Hall ’06, MBA ’08, Director of Compliance & Programmatic Oversight at the National Urban League.
The Elizabeth and Allen Don Center
The Don Center is an innovation laboratory, providing funding for knowledge in technology, innovation and decision sciences. Industry experts share insights on the ways technology is transforming today’s business environment. Past events have included lectures with Greg Polcer, global supply chain leader at Estée Lauder, and Osman Ahmed, PhD, a principal technical advisor at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Hagedorn Lecture Series on Corporate Social Responsibility
A lecture series that is focused uniquely on ethical practices in business, the Hagedorn Lecture Series exposes students to prominent speakers who address pressing moral issues of our times. Past speakers have included the CEO of American Express, the retired chair and CEO of the KeySpan Corporation, a Wall Street industry expert, the CEO of The Scotts Company and the former United States Secretary of the Treasury, Robert Rubin.
Executive in Residence Program
The Willumstad School’s Executive in Residence program enables our students and faculty to connect on campus with renowned business leaders, creating a bridge between the academic world and the business community. Executives in residence undertake many activities to support both the student body and faculty, including speaking engagements, presentations to graduate and undergraduate classes, mentoring on career planning and faculty advisement.
