School of Business Assurance of Learning
We measure your success—and ours too. Our Assurance of Learning (AoL) processes allow us to develop, evaluate, revise and monitor what and how students learn in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.
Each of our programs has competency goals based on areas of knowledge we know are essential for you to find success, and make an impact, in your chosen area of business.
For our undergraduate programs, the competency goals are:
- Ethics
- Global and Multicultural Understanding
- Effective and professional communication
- Critical thinking
- Leadership potential
- Business Knowledge
Each of our graduate programs has its own competency goals that reflect critical knowledge and skills expected of business professionals.
The data we collect from each assessment provide valuable feedback for enhancing our students’ learning. But it does much more: a faculty-led committee uses this data, along with separate feedback from students and employers, to improve and fine-tune our business programs.
Willumstad Students Earn National Recognition
Each year, Willumstad School of Business students score in the top 10% nationally on the ETS Major Field Tests for undergraduate and graduate degrees in business. We are proud to recognize these students’ achievements and congratulate them on demonstrating a high level of mastery of their chosen fields of study.
