Peer Mentoring
Bridges to Adelphi is looking for undergraduate students to be a part of their peer mentoring program.
The Bridges to Adelphi Program, which offers academic, social, and vocational support services to Adelphi students who self-disclose with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other non-verbal learning disorders, is seeking Adelphi undergraduate students to be a part of peer mentoring program. This is a volunteer position.
We seek individuals with patience, dedication, reliability, and passion, who communicate effectively and have strong time management. The Bridges to Adelphi Program has been known to be an excellent and educationally enriching training site for graduate and undergraduate students to gain experience in a field of service, specifically working with individuals on the autism spectrum or any other non-verbal or neurological-social disorders.
Peer Mentors will need to meet with either one student once a week or two students twice a week. These meetings are typically one hour long and there is a report the peer mentor has to complete. The reports don’t take longer than 15 minutes to complete.
