An opportunity for scholars across academic areas and around the world to bring the study of critical global issues to Adelphi.

The Bhisé Center for Global Understanding (BCGU) invites applications for its newly created Scholar, Artist or Writer-in-Residence program. The program is designed to support the innovative scholarly, creative arts or writing projects of new talents and emerging mid-career professionals, including scientists, creative artists and writers—showing extraordinary promise or accomplishments.

We welcome applicants from diverse academic disciplines and creative fields, including humanities, sciences, arts and health professions.

Residency Program Expectations

Applicants must detail their project and how it aligns with the mission of BCGU. We also encourage suggestions for campus involvement, including:

  1. Teaching and mentoring

Residency participants are expected to:

  • Present new or in-progress work at BCGU and campus-wide events
