Academic Coaching
As a student in the Adelphi Plus Learning Community, you’ll work regularly in one-to-one meetings and small groups with your own academic coach from the Adelphi Plus faculty.
You’ll develop a strong relationship with your coach, who will serve as your mentor and provide support and advice to help you:
- Develop college-level reading, writing and research skills
- Build organizational, time-management and critical-thinking skills
- Choose a major or minor
Meeting one to one with my academic coach helped me improve my writing and critical thinking skills. He would proofread my papers and offer constructive feedback, which allowed me to expand on my ideas and think more critically. It helped me become a better writer.
