Our Mission with the Science Advancement programs at Adelphi are to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and the licensed professions.
Our Science Advancement Programs Include
NYS Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP)
The focus of Adelphi’s STEP Program is to expose students to the skills, knowledge and methodology required for success in a variety of STEM focused and licensed careers. We look forward to accepting our new group of students and working with you to ensure that the program is beneficial to your child.
NYS Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP)
The purpose of the CSTEP Program is to support and prepare Adelphi’s undergraduate and graduate underrepresented students who are pursuing careers in STEM fields and/or licensed professions through impactful and relevant programming. CSTEP offers academic support, study resources as well as preparation for professional school exams, academic/career guidance, a pre-freshman summer residential program for credit and academic enrichment, as well as research/internship placements.  We hope that CSTEP students will gain valuable tools and resources that allow them to thrive in their future schooling or careers.Â
NYS Liberty Partnership Program (LPP)
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) provides services to meet the academic, social, emotional, and career needs of struggling students by providing meaningful and enjoyable programming.
Robotics
Our Robotics Program at Adelphi offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Beyond science and engineering principles, robotics encourages teamwork, leadership, organization, and problem solving among groups. Our robotics program has three teams, our VEX Robotics team, our LEGO Robotics team, and our AVR Drone team. We also host and attend several different types of robotics competitions throughout the year, in which we compete on local, statewide, and national levels.
