Adelphi Law Advisory Board
The purpose of the Adelphi Law Advisory Board is to support the Director of Pre-Professional Advising and Fellowships by providing guidance, expertise, and philanthropic support.
This group of leaders helps the Director strategically prepare students interested in pursuing law as a career.
The Board is comprised of 6-10 members, each serving a three-year term. The Board meets a minimum of two times during the academic year, once in the fall and once in the spring semester.
Advisory Members Responsibilities
- Facilitate internships personally or through professional networks
- Serve as a mentor for students interested in law or make introductions to colleagues who are interested in mentoring students
- Participate in and/or a host networking event(s) to enable students to meet law professionals
- Give a lecture or teach a class (if asked) or engage other law professionals to do so
- Support the university with a personal, corporate, or combined annual gift
- Attend a majority of Board meetings; share industry trends and provide strategic advice and guidance to the Director
