Dear Adelphi Community,

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), Adelphi University provides annual notice to our campus community of the availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report by October 1 of each year.

The Clery Act is a federal law that mandates the reporting of timely, accurate, and complete information about select crime and safety statistics both on- and near-campus. The University’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning Clery-reported crimes that occurred:

  • On campus
  • In certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Adelphi University
  • On public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus

The report also includes:

  • Institutional campus security policies including those regarding alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, reporting of crimes, hate crimes, sexual assault (including Title IX), the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
  • Emergency operations plans including evacuation procedures, missing student notifications, timely and emergency notifications and warnings, and information about Amanda’s Law, Kerry Rose Fire Sprinkler Notification Act, and the annual fire safety report.

A PDF of the 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report can be viewed, downloaded and printed.

A printed copy of the 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report report is available upon request in the Department of Public Safety and Transportation Office located in Levermore Hall, Suite 113.
