Out for Lunch with Robby Fahrenholtz
Event Actions
Out for Lunch is an informal conversation series with staff and faculty members and allows students to meet LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and administrators in a casual space. The purpose of the series is to provide an opportunity for students to hear from faculty, staff, and administrators in the LGBTQ+ community about their life experiences, careers, successes and challenges in an intimate setting. All university students are welcome to attend the Out for Lunch series. For this lunch, we will be talking with Robby Fahrenholtz, Coordinator for the Multicultural Center with the Office of Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging. Robby will be presenting “More than a Label” in which they will discuss the importance of community and culture in their experiences as an LGBTQ+ person and exploring what it means to grow into your identities beyond just finding and accepting a label for them.
Robby Fahrenholtz (They/them) is currently the Coordinator for the Multicultural Center and works to provide educational and engaging opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds. They hold a Masters in Leadership and Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Prior to coming to Adelphi, Robby worked in various student and professional capacities in residence life and housing and through that was able to find a passion for co-curricular learning that has guided much of their work to this day.
Free lunch will be provided for the first 15 attendees. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact Robby Fahrenholtz (rfahrenholtz@adelphi.edu) for accommodations.
