Greg Carey P ’23

Greg Carey P

Greg Carey P ’23 is Chairman of Goldman Sachs’ Public Finance and Head of Goldman Sachs’ Global Sports Financing Franchise. His many innovative transactions span a gamut of infrastructure sectors, from project finance and surface transportation to major stadiums and arenas across the country and Europe. Seven of Carey’s team’s financings have been awarded The Bond Buyer, Institutional Investor or Project Finance “Deal of the Year”. He was inducted into the Bond Buyer Hall of Fame in fall 2023.

Some of Carey’s notable municipal transactions include financing for Yankee Stadium; Barclays Center; Grand Parkway, Houston; Central Texas Turnpike, Austin; North Texas Tollway, Dallas; and the New York Power Authority; and as financial advisor to the Suffolk County Water Authority since 1987.

He has spent 40 years in public finance banking. He joined Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in 2004 after working at Citigroup for 22 years as co-head of the firm’s infrastructure group. He earned an AB in Economics from Harvard College in 1983.

Carey is former vice-chair of the Tisch Center Advisory Board at New York University, where he taught a course in the business of sports facilities. He previously served as chairman for the Children’s Academy in New York, an innovative specialized school teaching children with speech and language delays. Currently, he sits on the Board of Trustees at Adelphi University.

Mike Graziano

Mike Graziano

Mike Graziano is co-head of the Global Real Estate Investment Banking business and serves as a strategic advisor to a number of private and publicly traded real estate companies with regard to mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and general corporate finance matters. He is also a member of the Investment Banking Executive Committee.

Graziano joined Goldman Sachs in 1988 and has spent more than 30 years focused on the real estate business. He was named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2006.

He is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, The Real Estate Roundtable and the Urban Land Institute, and is also on the board of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Graziano earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.

Josh Rahmani ’06

Josh Rahmani

Arash “Josh” Rahmani is the co-founder of several companies spanning the real estate, private equity, hospitality, technology and retail industries. He is a seasoned professional with vast knowledge of markets and a superior track record as a dealmaker and leader.

Rahmani has extensive experience structuring transactions involving capital markets, investment sales, acquisitions, recapitalizations, joint ventures and financing institutional grade assets. He has 19 years of executive experience in project management, developing, executing and completing business plans, as well as corporate governance, acquisitions and restructuring. Over the course of his career, Rahmani has structured more than $6 billion in transactions and over $1 billion in sponsored acquisitions. He has partnered with and advised local and international investors, including ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and financial institutions.

Rahmani is a member at the Economic Club of New York. He was the recipient of the Young Jewish Professionals Deal Maker & Achievement Award for 2022 and the Entrepreneurship Award for 2023 from the Harvard University Venture Capital Group.

Rahmani began his career in his first semester in college at Adelphi University when he got his real estate license in 2004. Since founding Empire Capital Holdings as an investment manager, he has participated in a series of acquisitions with groups including Invesco, Blackstone, RXR, AEW, Silverstein Properties, TA Advisors, The Lighthouse Guild, Wheelock Capital, Acadia Realty Trust, Oaktree, Namdar Realty Group, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, Eastdil Secured, Newmark, Avison & Young and Meridian Capital.

Andrew Zang

As a tenant advocate, Andrew is committed to providing innovative, effective real estate solutions which benefit his client’s business objectives. He is highly experienced in commercial leasing and financial analyses, enabling him to fully understand the real estate needs of his clients.

Andrew specializes in representing tenants with corporate facility and real estate planning such as acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and subleasing on a local, national and global level. His key responsibilities also include new business development, market research and servicing existing clients. In this capacity, Andrew has worked with many notable clients such as the national law firms of Zuckerman Spaeder, The Cochran Firm, and Lowenstein & Sandler, as well as the broadcasting television network CBS and global co-working company WeWork.

Prior to joining the firm, Andrew spent time working for Congress at the Committee on Homeland Security in Washington D.C. While there, Andrew assisted U.S. Congressmen with drafting homeland security related legislation.
