Let’s Play: An Introduction to Play Therapy Approaches for Children

Course Description

This workshop will give you an in-depth introduction to play therapy. We will look at the therapeutic powers of play and help you to gain an understanding of how and why play therapy works. We will focus on directive play therapy and learn play-based interventions to use with children to help them express themselves and learn social-emotional skills. We will also discuss the role of a play therapist, and how to become a play therapist.

Faculty Bio:

Jasmine Berger, LCSW-R

Jasmine Berger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. Jasmine worked in community mental health and as a school social worker, before starting Bud to Bloom Play Therapy. She specializes in working with children with trauma, attachment disruptions and big behaviors. She is a Foundational Theraplay Practitioner and enjoys helping families learn to connect.

Cancellation Policy

Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for cancellations made seven working days or fewer before the event for any reason—or for no-shows. We can provide credit towards a future workshop up to 24 hours before the event. After that, no credit will be issued.
