Narrative Couples Therapy
Narrative Couples Therapy aims to help couples to identify and change the negative or destructive narratives they may have about each other, and to create new, more positive narratives that promote healing and growth in their relationship.
They explore their private thoughts, feelings, hopes and fears, their dyadic interactions, the contributions of each partner’s culture of origin, as well as their interrelationship with local institutions and traditions. The course will also amplify the connections between ideas from Narrative Couple Therapy and the Psychoanalytic Relational Approach.
Part of the 2023-2024 Postgraduate Program in Couple Therapy Seminar Series.
