Women in Leadership Lunch: Connecting the Dots
Event Actions
The Women’s in Leadership Lunch allows women who are staff or faculty members at Adelphi to share their stories of success with female identifying students. This space provides an opportunity for students to hear about their life experiences, careers and goals, as well as successes and challenges they’ve faced through their career, ultimately leading them in roles they are in today.
We are excited to announce that for our October program in this series, Dr. Priya Wadhera, Ph.D. will be joining us! Learn more about their program below:
Connecting the Dots
Dr. Wadhera is the Chair of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and an Associate Professor of French. She fell in love with French at Phillips Exeter Academy and went on to earn a joint A.B./M.A. in French at Bryn Mawr College after which she had a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Paris. Upon her return to the States, she worked in New York City at the Andy Warhol Foundation as assistant to the editors of Warhol’s catalogue raisonné. She returned to school, earning her Ph.D. from the Department of French and Romance Philology at Columbia University, where she stayed on for three years as a Lecturer in the department and Director of the Maison française. In 2007, she took a tenure track professorship at Adelphi. “Connecting the Dots” will be the theme of her luncheon.
