Adelphi University takes back unwanted Prescription Drugs.
The Adelphi University Student Counseling Center’s Alcohol and Other Drugs Program, the Adelphi University Department of Public Safety and Transportation and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 22nd opportunity in 12 years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs*. Simply bring any expired or unused drugs you have for disposal to the Nexus Building North Entrance (nearest the parking lot), anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. this Saturday.
On Friday, April 29th, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Levermore Hall Room 113, Public Safety will host an Early Drop-Off opportunity for the convenience of Adelphi community members.
*The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. Vaping devices will be accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
