Fatema S. Sadeque-Iqbal, DNP, FNP-BC, CPN
Dr. Sadeque-Iqbal is a doctorally prepared board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at New York Presbyterian Medical Center and, in addition, practices at Urban Health Plan, Inc which is a federally qualified health center in the South Bronx.
Dr. Sadeque-Iqbal is a Bangladeshi-American woman who has been a nurse for 25 years and has worked in various areas of nursing including administration, education, research, inpatient and outpatient care, and primary care in specialty areas such as genetics and orthopedic surgery. She is the founder of the Bangladeshi American Nurses Association. Upon completion of her DNP, she proposed, planned and facilitated a specialty clinic in the South Bronx to address the primary health care needs of the Bangladeshi American community.
