Bring any expired or unused drugs you have for safe disposal. No questions asked.
Adelphi University Student Counseling Center’s Alcohol and Other Drugs Program, the Adelphi University Department of Public Safety and Transportation and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 19th opportunity in 10 years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs*.
The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. Vaping devices will be accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
For those who cannot return to campus on Saturday, there will be an early drop-off location at the east entrance of the Nexus Building on Friday, October 23 for Adelphi University faculty, staff, administrators and students.
