The Dinner and Dialogue Series allows for informal conversations between university students and faculty, staff, or administrators of color over dinner. The purpose of the dinner is to provide an opportunity for students to hear from faculty, staff, and administrators of color about their life experiences, careers, successes and challenges in an intimate setting. All university students are welcome to attend the Dinner and Dialogue series.
Sara Aponte-Olivieri, Ph.D. was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and completed a BA in French and Italian at the University of Puerto Rico. In 2009, she earned a Ph.D. in Lettres Modernes from the Université Stendhal in Grenoble, France. Her scholarship ranges across different Romance languages and literary traditions, having presented and published papers on French, Spanish and Latin American literatures. A manuscript on the notion of prudence in Montaigne’s Essais and Baltasar Gracián’s works is at the last stages of editing and under contract with Éditions Garnier. She has taught most levels of Spanish and French throughout different universities, in France and in the US.
