A Message to the Local Community

Dear Friend of Adelphi,

I am thrilled to begin my appointment today as Adelphi’s 10th president.

Through conversations over the past few months, I have been fortunate to meet some of you who have long supported Adelphi and made room in your offices and workplaces for our alumni and our students.

I know many of you have served as important advisers to Adelphi and have been a big part of our recent success. Adelphi’s future will be defined by such collaboration and discussion as we come together to bring forth new ideas and innovations that transform not only our students’ lives, but those of our local, national and global neighbors as well.

In the coming weeks, I will be launching a 100-Day Listening Tour to build on our positive momentum and to begin shaping Adelphi’s future as a model metropolitan university. I hope I can count on you for your continued partnership.

To get us started, I invite you to share your ideas about the advantages of an Adelphi education and opportunities for collaboration and problem solving. To facilitate feedback, I have launched an online form to bring as many voices as possible into the discussion. I want to hear your thoughts about and aspirations for Adelphi.

I look forward to getting to know the opportunities across the region far better. Shortly, you will hear more from me about additional ways you can get involved. This is the time to think big.
