Meet Tara Shea ’15 and Monika Siepsiak ’15 (Department of Chemistry) and Alyssa Costa ’16 (Department of Biology), three students who were able to take part in the Summer 2014 Horace McDonell Fellows student research program.
Thanks to Horace G. McDonell, Jr. ’52, ’02 (Hon.), a former Adelphi Trustee and a retired chairman and CEO of PerkinElmer Inc., these undergraduate science majors spent 10 weeks conducting paid, full-time research, working side-by-side with faculty mentors in the lab and in the field.
