Student Worker of the Month for March 2014
Philip Cohn-Cort has been working on Android App Development with the Web Technologies team since Fall 2013. He is a Computer Science major anticipated to graduate in 2015. One of his goals in working with IT is learning how to deliver a working product on deadline.
At Adelphi, Philip is a member of the fencing club, the pre-law society and works on PAWS web radio.

“Philip always greets the IT staff with a smile. He is super sweet and seems to be always focused on his work.”
“Philip has gone above and beyond in the development of the new AU2Go native Android app. He is very articulate in explaining how his code works, and is able to come back with answers very quickly after being asked to research a specific Android technology. In addition, he has also provided my team with some fresh new ideas that we were able to apply to the iOS version of the app.”
“Philip is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He offers thoughtful insight and is truly passionate about IT projects — mainly the redesign of AU2Go for Android devices.”
About IT’s Employee of the Month Nominations
It is important to demonstrate our appreciation for the contributions of our student workers to their teams, to the Office of Information Technology, and to Adelphi University as a whole. At the end of each month, we will honor one student worker who has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and initiative in their position. The recipient will be presented with a certificate and gift, as well as a featured spot on our IT website.
All IT employees (including student workers) are encouraged to submit nominations for their choice for Student Worker of the Month. Your nominee should display qualities deserving of recognition.
