Her article on food in Perec “‘Privés de repas du soir’: Meals and memories in Georges Perec’s W ou le souvenir d’enfance” is presently under review by French Forum, a journal of the University of Pennsylvania.

Last fall, she published the article «Fêter la copie, brouiller l’original: Une étude de l’esthétique postmoderne dans Un cabinet d’amateur de Perec et d’oeuvres choisies de Warhol» in Modern Language Notes and a book review on “L’éternel et l’éphémère” by Christelle Reggiani which appeared in Columbia University’s Romanic Review.

The manuscript for her book project entitled “La construcción del diálogo teatral en el teatro cómico español (1898-1936): el discurso humorístico en el context social” has been submitted for review.

Together, the faculty of the DLLC have been working on the following programs throughout the year: The Certificate in Translation Studies, which has been approved and has begun accepting students; the Italian Concentration for International Studies; and finally, revisions to courses for approval within Adelphi’s new General Education program.

All of this work would not be possible without Ms. Kathy Kannengeiser, our dedicated administrative assistant, our adjunct faculty, and so many outstanding students who make the department a stimulating place to learn, conduct research, and communicate.

This piece appeared in the Language, Literatures and Cultures Newsletter Fall 2013 edition.
