Scores for in-season play place Adelphi at the top of its conference.
For the first time, Adelphi athletics has won the prized President’s Cup from the Northeast-10 Conference. The cup is given annually to the institution that compiles the most points based on finishes in regular-season standings from its programs competing in league championships. Adelphi, which participates in 20 of the 23 sports sponsored by the Northeast-10, accumulated 177 points for the academic year, including a conference-best 74.5 points during the spring season.
“This is a distinct honor and has been a goal of ours each and every year since joining the Northeast-10,” said Adelphi Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Robert E. Hartwell.
Before joining the Northeast-10 Conference, Adelphi was part of the East Coast Conference (ECC) and won a record seven Commissioner’s Cups while in the ECC.
