Alessandra Drapos is a small town girl from Rhode Island. Her combination of Greek, Italian and Armenian heritage contributes to her knack for whacky characters and ability to loudly project. Inspired by I Love Lucy, 8-year-old Alessandra thought to use her awkward looks and spastic behavior to her advantage and pursue a career in comedic acting.

In addition to sketch and improv classes at Trinity Repertory, she discovered her interest in drama after a course on Chekov offered by the same theater. Alessandra quickly discovered acting as her source of happiness and, ever since, has sacrificed many (imagined) dating and beer pong opportunities for intensive study in all things theater.

She spent a year abroad at the London Dramatic Academy polishing her classical and vocal techniques while writing a one-woman show alongside playwright Nigel Gearing. Alessandra performed her drama in the UK under the direction of former artistic director of Theatre Royal Stratford East’s Philip Hedley and again in the US at The Barrow Group Theater thanks to The 2012 Estrogenius Festival. She is forever grateful for the diverse training she received at Adelphi University, The Second City and The Upright Citizens Brigade. She is wholeheartedly excited for a long journey in theatre and film.
