Practical tips and best practices about internet security awareness
Recent email phishing scams claim to contain links to hr.adelphi.edu and local.adelphi.edu. These false messages are attempts to obtain your personal information. Please do not respond to any such messages and delete them immediately.
If you receive a message claiming to be from “Administrator,” please do not open any attachments or click any links in the email. Note: This warning does not apply to the official email with subject “ONLINE ANNUAL ENROLLMENT FOR PLAN YEAR 2013” that was sent earlier by Karen Loiacono.
To protect yourself from phishing attacks, please take a minute to review the practical tips and best practices about security awareness on the Adelphi IT website: it.adelphi.edu/security/phishing/.
Adelphi IT is working diligently to keep the network free of known viruses, spam and phishing scams, but newer malicious threats are sometimes able to bypass our protective measures.
Please note: Nobody working for Adelphi IT will EVER contact you by email or phone, asking for your username, password, or other sensitive information.
