How Long Does It Take to Earn an MBA Degree?
It may take as little as one year—but some take several years to do so, depending on various factors. Adelphi offers several options, ranging from our Flex MBA, which you can pursue full or part time, to our Professional Accelerated MBA program for the student with managerial work experience. You decide, based on your own work schedule and family life commitments.
Professional Accelerated MBA
- Cohort model—Learn with a group of peers who take all of the courses together.
- Flexible low-residency model (combining online and campus-based instruction) or fully online and on your own schedule

Flex MBA: 10 Specializations, 3 STEM-Designated
- Flexible courses offered Monday through Thursday. Many are offered fully online on your own schedule, in person or hybrid.
- Generous financial aid: up to $5,000 annually for the on-campus Flex MBA
- Problem-solving days let students team up to tackle business challenges, applying their new skills and knowledge with guidance from expert faculty.
- One or more of your courses in the digital marketing, finance, human resource management, management or marketing analytics certificates will count toward the Flex MBA program.

Our finance courses in the Flex MBA program focus on problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills so that you will gain a deeper understanding of topics like the valuation of stocks and bonds, and the relationship between risks and returns, in financial markets.
With this specialization, your coursework will focus on using discounted cash flow and relative valuation techniques in valuation of financial securities. Application Requirements
Applicants to Adelphi’s MBA programs should submit the following application requirements:
- Graduate application and $60 fee
- Official transcripts from all prior institutions and proof of bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
- Personal essay
- A letter of recommendation
- Résumé
Applicants applying to the Flex MBA program should select the Business Administration M.B.A. program option within our graduate application.
Additional Requirements
Graduate students officially registered in other divisions of the University may register for coursework within the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business only if written permission from the appropriate dean, adviser or chair is presented at registration. It must indicate that the coursework taken within the School of Business will count toward degree requirements in the corresponding program. Students registering on a continuing basis under this classification will be considered visiting students.
Graduate students officially registered in a business degree program at another accredited university may register for coursework within the Willumstad School of Business if written permission from their appropriate dean, chair or program director is presented at registration.
30% Tuition Discount
Thanks to Adelphi’s partnership with HIA-LI, HIA-LI members are eligible to receive a 30% tuition discount off the published tuition rate for the 33-credit Professional Accelerated MBA program offered at our Hauppauge Center—or, at Adelphi’s option, at the University’s Garden City campus. There must be a minimum of 12 students registered for classes to be held at the Hauppauge location.
In addition, HIA-LI members are eligible for a 15% discount off the published tuition rate for all other graduate programs and certificates offered by Adelphi’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.
