November 29, 2017 - High Sierra Macs have a vulnerability that is being exploited. Apple has provided an update to this issue.
The IT Information Security team has been tracking a newly announced vulnerability in the latest Mac operating system (called: High Sierra). An attacker with physical access to the device can access any information and lock out the legitimate user. This vulnerability is not exploitable over the network.
At this time, we are working to identify any High Sierra Macs on our network; we will contact any users with the operating system regarding the vulnerability.
