Congratulations to Black Students United.
The Center for Student Involvement would like to proudly announce Black Students United as Adelphi’s Student Organization of the Month for February 2017.
Black Students United (BSU) had an extremely successful month of programming. They were at the forefront of organizing a series of events to celebrate and recognize the importance of Black History Month. Each week BSU held multiple events that aimed to educate about a variety of topics including women in Black history, Black inventors and inventions, and different movements throughout Black history. BSU hosted a trip to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. and approximately 40 students attended. The month of events culminated in the Black and Gold Gala which honored one student, student organization and faculty/staff member for their contributions in creating a more diverse and inclusive campus environment.
Nominations are due by the last Friday of each month during the academic semester, nominate someone today. The Center for Student Involvement would also like to thank everyone who nominated a student this month. For further information, please contact:
