The BA in Ethics and Public Policy gives me insight into how often philosophy, political science and economics are used in the legal world. Philosophy connects ideas from past philosophers with lawyers using them to deal with situations in present day. Political science shows how often the current political climate can affect legal decisions, while economics shows how legal decisions affect the current economy.

As an ethics and public policy major you will do more than reading, writing and attending class. At Adelphi, you’ll have countless chances to extend your learning outside the classroom, using your tools of analysis to investigate contemporary problems and their ethical, economic and policy challenges. Develop public policy recommendations and present research in a capstone seminar; do independent research; intern or volunteer with a nonprofit to deepen your understanding of topics including public health crises, terrorism and counterterrorism, employment and automation, security vs. privacy and economic development.
