We read aloud the works of Black writers, essayists, poets, etc. We have books available for you to read for those who would like to read with us.

We will gather to read the works of Black writers like Langston Hughes, Jacqueline Woodson, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Maya Angelou, Jamaica Kincaid, Aimé Césaire, Derek Walcott, and many more. 

The event is an ongoing one which starts at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until 7:00 p.m. You may drop in at any time to read and listen to others read. We welcome young readers as well. This event is open to the public.
